Lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK
Jenny studied Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating with a BA(Hons) in 1986. Since then she has been a professional artist with regular solo and group exhibitions around the UK and abroad. In 2007 and 2015 she was awarded prizes at the Royal Watercolour Society (RWS), London and in 2016 nominated for the international watercolour prize ‘Marche d’Acqua’ in Italy. Jenny also exhibits regularly at the RSW (Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour). In 2017 she was Artist in Residence at the Museo della Carta e della Filigrana in Fabriano, Italy and for the last 4 years led the Scottish group at the international watercolour convention in Italy, ‘Fabrianoin Acquarello’ and is Scottish country leader for the InArte Watercolour Platform.
Her work is in numerous private and corporate collections worldwide including Adam and Co., Edinburgh, Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, London, author Ian Rankin and Paintings in Hospitals, Scotland.
Dame Elizabeth Blackadder DBE was Jenny's tutor at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh as part of my degree course. From Elizabeth
she developed a love of watercolour, flowers and plants which has subsequently been the mainstay of her career as an artist. .
